Paliza Campground

CLOSED FOR RECONSTRUCTION UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. THE PALIZA GROUP CAMPGROUND HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO AN INDIVIDUAL CAMPSITE AREA UNTIL RECONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETE.

Location: Three miles north of Ponderosa at the junction of Forest Road 10 and 266
Access: From the Jemez Ranger Station go south 13 miles to the junction of State Highway 4 and 290. Turn left and follow State Road 290 approximately eight miles. State Road 290 will then turn into Forest Road 10 which is a graveled single lane road. Continue on Forest Road 10 for an additional three miles to campground turnoff. The first area you will come upon will be the Paliza Group Campground continue north 1/4 mile to the Paliza campground.
Fee: $8.00 per vehicle per night

bulletTents, RVs and trailers up to 30 feet

 

 

Notes:

bulletElevation at the campground is 6800 feet.

bulletA small tract of private land is located north of the campground and common courtesy is appreciated.

bulletThere is a 14-day stay limit on all campgrounds.

bulletPets must always be on a leash or restrained while in developed areas.
