Sheridan Mountain-Smith Mesa OHV Day-use

Off-Highway Vehicle	Picnicking	Services

Sheridan Mountain-Smith Mesa OHV Day-use is located west of Chino Valley and south of Camp Wood on the Chino Valley Ranger District. Arizona State OHV Grant funds have been used to enhance this 42 miles of trails. These trails are open to off-highway vehicles. They are closed to jeeps, pickups, and passenger cars. Riding cross-country or on deer trails, cow trails, skid trails, or road cut banks and fill slopes is prohibited.

Elevation:5,500 Feet

Facilities:

• No Camping, or Drinking Water

Available: All Year

Stay limit: Dawn to Dusk (no overnight camping)

Fees:

• Day-use: No charge at Sheridan Mountain ($5 per vehicle from Alto Pit side)
  (Standard Amenity Fee - Can pay at site or use a Valid Pass)

Reservations: No reservations are required.

Access: Williamson Valley Road North towards Camp Wood (Different access locations depending on Trail)

Travel time: 1 hour 15 minutes from Prescott

Ride Rules:

• Trails and cross-country areas are for vehicles 50" wide or less
• No full size 4 x 4 or Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTV) over 50" wide
• All vehicles must have USFS approved spark arrestor in working condition
• All vehicles must meet Federal and State noise standards - AZ max. 96 dba
• Outside of the cross-country areas, riders must stay on designated trails
