DeMotte Campground

This National Forest campground is located within the North Kaibab Ranger District just 7 miles north of the entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park's North Rim.

In addition to the unmatched views available in the Park, visitors to DeMotte Campground can enjoy excellent scenery and plentiful wildlife on the Forest. The Kaibab Plateau is known for its large mule deer and for the tassel-eared, white-tailed Kaibab squirrel, which lives only on this isolated plateau.

Location

25 miles south of Jacob Lake on Arizona State Highway 67

7 miles north of the entrance to the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park.

Gravel roads and spurs.

38 single-unit sites with tables and cooking grills. Tents, trailers and motor homes are allowed, but there are no utility hookups or dump stations available.

All facilities are barrier free.

Amphitheatre.

Concession services are available nearby. Services include gasoline, supplies, restaurants, lodging, and telephone.

Fees

$17.00 for the first vehicle and $8.00 for an additional vehicle per site. The second vehicle charge does not apply to towed vehicles. Up to 6 people are allowed per site. America the Beautiful, Senior, and Access passes are honored.  Check-out time is 2pm.  Reservations are not taken for this campground.
$6.00 per bundle of firewood.

May 15 to October (depending on snowfall).
