Coronado Forest Planning

Forest Planning

The current Coronado National Forest Plan (PDF, 1.43 mb) was implemented in 1986. In the years since then, many social and resource conditions have changed, scientific information has improved, and land management policies have evolved. Though the plan was amended many times, some changes could not be addressed quickly or effectively.

As such, the Coronado National Forest is currently undergoing forest plan revision. The 1986 Plan will be revised in a way that encourages increased public participation and results in a fully-updated, relevant, and functional planning document.

Please visit our Plan Revision website for complete information.
