Ranger Districts
The Coronado National Forest is made up of five administrative units called Ranger Districts. Each District includes a number of mountain ranges, each with its own unique character. (See Map.) For the most current information about weather and road conditions, campgrounds and other recreation opportunities, or to speak with a local natural resource specialist, it is often best to contact the closest Ranger District. Douglas Ranger District
Located in Douglas, AZ. Take HWY 80 West, turn right (North) on HWY 191 and go north approx. 1.2 miles. The District Office is on the right (east) side. Office hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm. Nogales Ranger District
Exit I-19 at the Ruby Road interchange; turn east and then south along the wastern frontage road. Approximately 1/4 mile turn wast again on Old Tucson Road. The Ranger Station is on your left. Sierra Vista Ranger District
Located on the west side of highway 92 approximately 3/4 of a mile South of Ramsey Canyon Road. Safford Ranger District
Located on the southwest corner of 14th Avenue and 8th Street. Use the main entrance on the west side of the building. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm. Phones are answered Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm. Santa Catalina Ranger District
Located on the northeast corner of Sunrise Boulevardand Sabino Canyon Road at Sabino Canyon Recreation Area. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. The Sabino Visitor Center is also open Saturday-Sunday 8:30am-4:30pm. The phone numbers above are staffed everyday of the year, except Thanksgiving and Christmas. |
