FUELWOOD APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE ON NOGALES RANGER DISTRICT

 

(September 2, 2010) – Fuelwood applications are available on the Nogales Ranger District, Coronado National Forest for the fuelwood season running October 1 through October 31, 2010. 

Permits are available for $25.00 per cord.  A total of 150 cords will be available throughout the season.

 

Applications may be obtained beginning September 7 at the Nogales Ranger District Office, 303 Old Tucson Road, Nogales, AZ, or at the Coronado National Forest Supervisor’s Office, 300 W. Congress (sixth floor), Tucson, AZ.  Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  An online application can be printed from the following links. Completed applications may be mailed to the Nogales Ranger District at 303 Old Tucson Road, Nogales, AZ 85621.  Applications must be accompanied by a check or money order in the amount of $25.00, payable to “USDA Forest Service,” and a business-sized stamped, self-addressed envelope for the permit to be sent by mail.  Applicants are advised to read the instructions, rules and regulations carefully, as fees will not be refunded and the cutting season will not be extended. 

Permits may be picked up at the Nogales Ranger District Office (303 Old Tucson Road, Nogales, AZ) beginning October 1.  A completed application with $25.00 check made payable to “USDA Forest Service” will be required to receive a permit.  For more information please call the Nogales Ranger District Office at (520) 281-2296.
