Cedro Peak Campground

INFORMATION

1.  BEFORE YOUR ARRIVE AT CEDRO: Pick up your keys and instructions from the Sandia Ranger Station. You will be charged a refundable key deposit of $10.00.

2.  ON ARRIVAL: When you arrive at Cedro Campground, check in with the campground host, if available. Unlock only side of the main gate. Post someone at the gate to prevent uninvited guests. ALWAYS LOCK OPEN GATE TO THE TIE BACK POST.

3.  Keep vehicles on graveled or paved roads and parking lots ONLY.

4.  Unlock the restrooms and the water hydrant.

Instructions for using the water hydrant:

  1. Remove the lock.
  2. Slide locking bolt to the left (UNLOCKED POSITION).
  3. Place lock in hole in bolt to maintain open position.
  4. Push down on top of hydrant to operate. Wait a few seconds for flow.
  5. Obtain water; use only as much as needed.
  6. Lift up to stop flow.

NOTE: Water at Cedro must be hauled to the site. Please use only what you need!

5. WHILE AT THE CAMPGROUND:

    1. Please build fires ONLY in the fire rings and grills provided.
    2. No wood cutting or gathering is allowed. We recommend that you bring your own wood or charcoal.
    3. Please keep pets on a leash at all times.
    4. Keep bikes on roads and paved trails or on trails across from the campground.
    5. Please use only area(s) reserved by your group.
    6. Place trash in large trash receptacle or in trash containers.
    7. Please keep trash out of toilets.
    8. If you have a RV, you cannot dispose of wastewater in or around Cedro Campground.
    9. Use of the playing field:
      • The field is on a first-come-first-served basis.
      • Arrange time with campground host.
      • When another group is present you may have to share time with them.
    10. Help us maintain the site. Report any damage or vandalism encountered.

6. BEFORE LEAVING THE CAMPGROUND:

    1. Pick up litter around your group site and place it in proper receptacles.
    2. Lock restrooms and water hydrants and, after the last person in your group has left your area, please remember to lock the main gate.

7. RETURN THE KEY TO THE RANGER STATION AND RECEIVE YOUR KEY DEPOSIT.

Group Use Fee Areas-Available by Reservation ONLY.

Opens May 1st and Closes October 31st.

Reservation is from 11:00am to 11:00am the next day.

Sandia Ranger District requires a $10.00 refundable key deposit at the time you pick up the key to your area. The deposit will be refunded to you when you return the key.

DUE TO LITTER CONCERNS, POSTING OF SIGNS OUTSIDE THE CAMPGROUND IS PROHIBITED
