Bear Canyon Lake Campground
Access: Just off Bear Canyon Lake, approximately 14 miles northwest of State Highway 260 on Forest Road 89. Forest Road 89 is accessed via Forest Road 300 which is located directly across from the Rim Visitor Information Station or 25 miles west of Heber, Arizona. Elevation: 7,600 feet above sea level Season: Generally May 1 to mid October. Earlier or later depending upon weather. Facilities:
Fee: No Fees - Semi Primitive Features and Setting: Bear Canyon Lake is a popular fishing and hiking spot. This peaceful campground is located 1/4 mile from the lake and trails provide the only access to the lake. Artificial lures required for fishing. The partially developed campground which is set among the mixed conifer, oak and aspen, has only limited amenities. Notes:
