Location
This campground is 30 miles northwest of Dolores. From Dolores,
travel west on Highway 145 for 2 miles. Go right on Highway 184
for 8 miles. Turn right on U.S. Hwy 666 for 13 miles, then go right
on Forest Road 505 for 1 mile.
The campground is in the Dolores River canyon, below McPhee Dam.
Travel southeast on Forest Road 504 to get to McPhee Dam.
Facilities
The 22 campsites have hand pumps for water. The campground
features a boat-launch site for trips on the lower Dolores River.
There are five barrier-free picnic sites, with no
fee for day use.
Attractions & Considerations
On the Dolores River. Has a boat-launching area for rafts, canoes,
and kayaks.
You can keep fish caught downstream from Bradfield Bridge, but
above it is catch-and-release.

is 4 miles upstream from Bradfield campground, on the Dolores River.
The campground has 11 sites, all barrier free, with hand pumps for
water.
Cabin Canyon Picnic Ground - Cabin Canyon Picnic
Ground is 4 miles upstream from Bradfield Campground, on the Dolores
River at Lone Dome, northwest of McPhee Dam.
Dry Canyon Fishing Site - Dry Canyon Fishing Site
is on the northeastern shore of McPhee Reservoir. From Dolores,
it is a trip of about 40 miles, most of it on gravel roads. There
are restrooms and fishing access here.
Ferris Campground - Ferris Canyon Campground is
3 miles from Cabin Canyon Campground, has 6 sites (all barrier free),
hand pumps for water, and 6 picnic areas.
Ferris Picnic Ground - Ferris Canyon Picnic Ground,
at Lone Dome, is 3.0 miles from Cabin Canyon Campground.
McPhee Reservior Recreation Area - The largest
reservoir in the San Juan National Forest.
