Access

From Nathrop, (Highway 285), travel west on County Road 162 from approximately 6 miles. The trailhead is located on the north side of CR 162 just across from Chalk Lake campground.

Features

The trail ends at Agnes Vaille Falls, a small waterfall that cascades from a rocky shelf below Mt. Princeton (14,197 feet). The trail is short and considered relatively easy for most hikers.

Considerations

  • Interpretive signs detailing the history of the falls and nearby attractions are located along the trail.
  • Hikers should avoid climbing on unstable rock near the base of the falls.
  • Visitors can enjoy beautiful views of Mt. Antero (14,269 feet) by looking south from the trail.
  • A camera is a must for this hike!!
