Ophir Reservation Campground: This campground is usually open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend with full service and, depending on snow conditions, is usually open through the middle of October with reduced service.

Location: From Lake Isabel, go 6 miles north on State Highway 165 then turn left (going West) onto Forest Service Road 360. Travel about 100 feet and then turn left (going east) onto Forest Service Road 361 and travel until the road dead ends into Ophir Campground.

Weather: Weather in the summer is generally mild with warm days and cool nights; highs in the 80's and lows in the 40's. Afternoon thunderstorms are a common occurrence. Spring and fall weather is usually dry and sunny with highs in the 60’s and lows in the 30's.

Attractions: Hiking, fishing, bicycling, motorcycle and ATV. Fishing in Ophir creek. A short drive will take you to various trailheads. See map for locations.

Facilities: 12 RV sites for various lengths up to 30 feet and 19 tent sites. Parking spur, tables, fire rings, grills and trash receptacles are provided at this campground. Drinking water is provided by a well with a hand pump. There are 4 single vault toilets, 2 are accessible.

Special User Fee: This campground is a first come first serve site and there is a self registration station at the entrance of the campground. During the summer, the site receives heavy use on the weekends and holidays. The maximum number of people per site is 10.

Concessionaire: The concessionaire lives at Ophir Campground and travels between and takes care of both the Davenport and Ophir campgrounds and is available to answer questions.

Other Important Information: Be Bear Aware. It is prohibited to Possess or leave unattended any food, refuse or other bear attractants unless it is; A. stored in a bear resistant method or, B. being eaten, prepared for eating or being transported. 36 CFR 261.58(cc). Area may be under fire restrictions or fire ban depending on local conditions.
