Campground
SPRINGDALE Campground: Located 1.7 miles
east of Woodland Park on FDR #300, the road and parking surface
is gravel. The Campground has 13 sites within the 9,100 '
elevation. An $12.00 fee per night /per site is charged.
The America the Beautiful Senior Pass and Access pass entitles the
holders to a 50 percent discount of this fee. The recreation
use season is from mid May to the end of September.
Weather: The weather is generally mild with warm days
and cool nights. Summertime highs are around 80 degrees with
the night time lows around 45 degrees. Afternoon thunderstorms
are a common occurrence. The spring and fall weather is usually
dry and sunny with highs around the 70's and lows in the 30's.
Attractions: Located only 3.5 miles from the Rampart
Reservoir Recreation area. Depending on time of day and year, various
forms of wildlife may be observed.
Facilities: Included are tables, firegrates, trash
dumpsters and vault-type toilets. Not provided are firewood,
shelter, and water.
