Gunnison Travel Management Plan Maps

Green to Yellow Maps (January 2001) - (PDF, 4.6 mb) are a graphic illustration of the 2001 Gunnison Interim Travel Plan Decision which restricted travel to established roads and trails to reduce the proliferation of user created routes. This was an interim decision until more detailed planning occurred. The “Green to Yellow” Maps displayed the best available information for the BLM routes, National Forest System roads and trails and user-created routes as of January 12, 2001. These maps are available on CD or hard copy – please call (970) 874-6637 for a copy.

Gunnison Travel System Maps (initial working maps developed in July 2006): The FS and BLM have developed maps of the primary transportation system routes- roads and trails currently managed for motor and mechanized vehicle use by the agencies. These maps are the starting point for travel analysis. The public was asked to comment on these maps during the pre-scoping comment period which ended in October 2006
Information on the Proposed Action (2007)
2007 preliminary proposed action maps: motorized and mechanized routes that resulted from preliminary route by route travel analysis. Updated maps show the existing routes that are no longer open to the public for motorized and non-motorized mechanized travel in the proposed action.
