Supplemental Draft Environemental Impact Statement Travel Management Plan GIS layers. September 2008.
Existing National Forest System Roads on the White River National Forest in Colorado, combined with INFRA (infrastructure) table information. This is a linear event layer created from the master road route layer using the II_MVUM_ROAD_ALLOW table from INFRA (Infrastructure; separate oracle database). It has attribute fields related to allowed motor vehicle use and is the most appropriate layer to use when determining where motorized vehicles are allowed to drive on Forest.
Criteria for inclusion in this data layer "snapshot" are: Route Status = Ex - Existing and Jursidiction = FS - Forest Service, and System = NFSR - National Forest System Road
- Purpose:
-
No Action Alternative based on no change from current management.
Summer Travel Routes for the White River National Forest
To display the existing network of National Forest System roads within the Forest

This is a linear event layer that is not associated with a topology. It is re-created after edits are done to the master road route layer and/or after attributes are updated in the separate INFRA oracle database. Dangle arcs exist. Overlaps and self intersections may occur.
- Completeness_Report:
-
The Forest Service uses the most current and complete data it has available. GIS data products and accuracy may vary. They may be: developed from sources of differing accuracy, accurate only at certain scales, based on modeling or interpretation, incomplete while being created or revised, have represented features not in accurate geographic locations, etc...

Functional Class - How a road services land and resource management needs and the character of the service it provides. Valid values include: A - ARTERIAL, Provides service to large land areas and usually connects with other arterial roads or public highways; C - COLLECTOR, Provides service to smaller land areas than an arterial road. It usually connects forest arterial roads to local forest roads or terminal facilities; L - LOCAL, Connects terminal facilities with forest collector or arterial roads or public highways. Usually local roads are single purpose transportation facilities.
