Abstract:: This coverage represents forest boundaries derived from the individual ALP Forest/Grassland corporate data coverages in the Rocky Mountain Region, (Region 2). Forests and/or Grasslands can be displayed by their administrative unit name (admin_name). For example: admin_name = Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison NFs. Or by individual Forest and Grassland name (nf_ng_name). For example: nf_ng_name = Medicine Bow NF; or nf_ng_name = Black Hills NF; or nf_ng_name = Grand Mesa NF; or nf_ng_name = Pawnee NG.
Purpose:: The purpose of this coverage is to provide spatial and tabular data for use in displaying, and identifying administrative boundary information for Forest Service lands specialists, GIS specialists, natural resource planners, and management.
