There are escellent oppourtunities for rock climbing across the Boulder Ranger District. It is prohibited to damage natural features or remove rock, moss, lichens or other vegetation to improve climbing opportunities.
A few areas on the Boulder Ranger District are closed temporarily
in the spring for raptor nesting. Annually, on February 1 the
areas listed below are closed to rock climbing and all other access
to allow birds of prey to select nesting sites. All raptor closures will reopen by August 1. All closure areas will also
be posted on the ground.
