Special Notice
Approximately five miles of the Guanella Pass Road has been
reopened from Georgetown to the Clear Lake day-use area but,
the road remains closed between the Clear Lake day-use area
and the Clear Lake Campground. Guanella Pass and the Clear Lake
Campground can be accessed through Grant, Colo. from U.S. Highway
285. Guanella Pass summit can also be accessed through Grant,
Colo. from US Highway 285. Access is only to the summit and
cannot be traveled through to Georgetown. Please note that travelers
cannot get through to Georgetown or to Interstate 70 from U.S.
Highway 285. The portion of Guanella Pass that remains closed
is due to rock instability. The closure results from concerns
that a rockmass in that area could fall across the road due
to instability created by above normal precipitation that occurred
this summer in Colorado. For additional information, please visit
Clear
Creek County website, where information will be updated
as the situation continues.
Boating
with Quagga and Zebra Mussels: What to expect this
summer in the Arapaho National Recreation Area (ANRA) including
boat inspections, decontamination stations and ramp closures.

mussels. Voluntary boat cleaning
and inspection should be a part of every boaters planning
and preparation. For
more information contact the Colorado Division of Wildlife
