Shorebird Sister Schools Program
Cruising the Super Shorebird Highway on the Internet

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Alaska
Division of External Affairs provides this information
Shorebird Sister Schools is an internet education program designed for students to track Arctic nesting shorebirds as they migrate northward to their nesting grounds in Alaska. Students, teachers, and parents are able to get on the World Wide Web and access current migration information from stop-over locations along the Pacific Flyway. Schools can send their trip information to the Shorebird Sister Schools Coordinator at e-mail address Heather_Johnson@mail.fws.gov and it will be posted with the shorebird migration data on the internet.
If you would like to track the shorebirds along their migration route this spring; need background information about shorebirds; want activities or field trip tips for your students; or would like to share gee-whiz facts about shorebirds with your student; access the world wide web at http://www.fws.gov/~r7enved/sssp.html.

For more information on the Shorebird Sister Schools Program contact Environmental Education Specialist, Heather Johnson, at (907) 786-3367 or send an e-mail to Heather_ Johnson@mail.fws.gov.

See you on the Super Shorebird Highway.
