Kakul Narrows Survival Shelter

The Kakul Narrows Shelter above a rocky beach.

 

Description: This three-sided Adirondack shelter is nestled against a backdrom of tall trees along a rocky shore.

Location: The shelter is on Baranof Island on the east side of Kakul Narrows between Salisbury Sound and Fish Bay, about 25 miles north of Sitka.

Facilities: The shelter has a woodstove, plywood bunks and a small table. Firewood is not provided..

Rental Fee: None. Use is on a first-come, first-served basis.
