Safety Recommendations in Disenchantment Bay

As of August 23, the U.S. Coast Guard is standing down from the special "Operational Safety Phases" that were developed by the Marine Safety Task Force to address the advance of the Hubbard Glacier and associated damming of Russell Fjord. Therefore, cruise ships navagating in Disenchantment Bay may revert to the navigation safety measures prescribed in the Southeast Alaska Voluntary Waterway Guide concerning their approaches of Hubbard Glacier.
