The Virginia Lake Sockeye Enhancement and Lake Enrichment Project has been a cooperative venture with multiple partners. Northern Southeast Regional Aquaculture Association (NSRAA), Alaska Department of Fish and Game-Fisheries Rehabilitation, Enhancement, and Development/Commercial Fisheries Managment and Development (ADFG-FRED/CFMD), Southern Southeast Regional Aquaculture Association (SSRAA), and Forest Service jointly performed the pre-project investigations in 1986. Wrangell Gillnetters joined the partnership in 1991. Roles and responsibilities of the partners changed as the project evolved.
