Help build a framework to integrate recreation options in Sitka!
The U.S. Forest Service is initiating a collaborative effort with the greater Sitka community to create an Outdoor Recreation Action Plan for the Sitka area.

A community-driven action plan to guide improvements to Sitka’s treasure trove of recreation options.

How come?

To improve quality of life, strengthen the local economy, and improve environmental stewardship by improving Sitka's system of recreational and visitor amenities.

• Facilities: trails, campgrounds, boat launches, signs and interpretive kiosks.
• Programs: tours, classes, recreational events.
• Informational Services: brochures, video guides, community event listings.
