Blue Lake Road
Road maintenance reduced
Gate Management:
- Summer - gate open; maintained for high clearance vehicles only; drive slow and cautiously.
- Fall - Closes without advance warning when there is snow or ice on the road.
- Winter - Closes for the winter in late December and reopens sometime in April.
Landslide and Avalanche potential:
Fall rains and winter snows increase landslide and avalanche activity along Blue Lake Road. During this time and while the gate is closed, foot traffic enters this area at their own risk.
ATV's and snowmobiles:
These machines are prohibited along Blue Lake Road and within Sawmill Creek Campground at all times.
