Communities of Prince of Wales Island depend on their local watershed for daily living. Actions that take place in a watershed can have a direct effect on people who live, work in and play in these communities.

The list below identifies drinking water source locations for the communities on Prince of Wales Island.

Klawock – Half-Mile Creek, located East of Klawock
Craig – Locally known as North Fork Lake, located East of Craig
Hydaburg – Hydaburg River, located North of Hydaburg
Thorne Bay – Locally known as Water Lake, located north of Thorne Bay
Port Protection – A karst drainage located east of Port Protection
Coffman Cove – East Fork of Chum Creek, located South of Coffman Cove
Kasaan – Linkum Creek, located north of Kasaan
Naukati - Household catchments or springs
Whale Pass - Household catchments or springs
Hollis - Household catchments or springs
