Career Days

 

Forest Service employees working with students on "Career Day"Eighteen students from Klawock High School were treated to a day in the field with 3 Forest Service fisheries biologists to learn about career opportunities. Cold rain did little to dampen the fun as students learned about employment options, educational requirements, fish identification, habitat assessment, and tried hands-on sampling with an electroshocker and minnow traps. Similar events were held in Naukati, Coffman Cove and Thorne Bay. Craig and Klawock middle school students also had the opportunity to work with the Craig Ranger District in the fisheries field.
