Fishing Around Hoonah
Weaving through Hoonah Ranger District’s 663,329 acres of temperate The seas around Chichagof Island are also rich with fish. In fact, very few game fish in Southeast Alaska spend all of their lives in fresh water. Much more common are anadromous fish, which begin and end their lives in fresh water but spend most of their time in the ocean. If salt-water fishing is your game, Hoonah is a good starting point. |
