USDA Economic Development Community Meetings
Community members across southeast have been engaging in a dialogue about roadblocks to and opportunities for economic diversification, and how USDA might engage in sustaining and improving the overall vitality of these communities. We are particularly interested in opportunities in the areas of Energy, Forest Restoration, and Mariculture and Fisheries. Several community meetings took place to begin this dialogue, as outlined below. The USDA is currently exploring the ideas raised by the communities.
