Access: 30-minute float plane ride or 2-hour boat ride from Sitka

Water available from nearby stream. Treat all water before using.
What to bring: Sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage bags, fire extinguisher, and fire starter. It's a good idea to bring your own water.
More information: Supplied firewood may be in short supply or temporarily out at any time.

Mooring buoy available on first-come, first-served basis for boat anchorage. Buoy available to either cabin users or general forest users.

DO NOT leave food behind when vacating this cabin. Pack out all gear that you bring in.

Cabin built in 1991 by volunteers from City and Borough of Sitka and other Sitka residents.

Special features: Beachcombing, seal watching popular. Shrimp fishing south and east of island. Crabbing in nearby bays. With low tides, shoreline along spit near cabin leads to Chichagof Island, with deer, bear, and waterfowl hunting. Dolly Varden, pink, chum salmon in rivers. Brown bear frequent area.
