Water is available from the lake or a nearby stream. Treat all water before using.
What to bring: Personal flotation devices (pfd), sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage bags, fire extinguisher and fire starter, raingear and rubber boots. It's a good idea to bring your own water.
More information: Lake generally ice free (suitable for landing a float plane) May through November.

Firewood may be in short supply at any time of the year.

Square-bowed skiff (rowboat) provided is small but heavy. Uses long-shaft 2-10 hp outboard motor (not provided). Each person in skiff should have Coast Guard approved pfd. Be sure plug is in before launching boat. Please tie skiff well up on shore and pull plug before leaving so boat does not fill with rain water.

Special features: Old clearcuts visible from the east end of the lake.

Old logging camp located 6.5 miles northwest at Corner Bay. Visitors may want to take advantage of surrounding road system to explore area. Behind cabin .7 mile (1 km) long Kook Lake Trail begins, ending at Corner Bay road system. Trail not maintained and can be very wet and muddy in many muskeg locations.

Fish for cutthroat and Dolly Varden all year in lake; good runs of sockeye during July and August and coho salmon during late August and early September. Bear hunting in season. Deer and brown bear prevalent.
