What to bring: Personal flotation devices (pfd), sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage bags, fire extinguisher and fire starter, rain gear and boots. It's a good idea to bring your own water.

DO NOT leave food behind when vacating this cabin. Pack out all gear that you bring.

Square-bowed skiff (rowboat) provided is small but heavy. Uses long-shaft outboard motor (2-10 hp), not provided . Each person using skiff should have Coast Guard approved pfd. Be sure plug is in before launching boat. Please tie skiff well up on shore and pull plug before leaving so boat does not fill with rain water.
Special features: Cabin faces west and does not overlook lake.Blueberries and huckleberries near cabin in season. Great photography opportunities!

1.2-mile (2 km) Davidof Lake trail (not maintained, difficult to locate) on southwest shore of Davidof Lake connects to Plotnikof Lake and Plotnikof Lake cabin. Dolly Varden fishing mid-July to September 1, rainbow trout fishing possible but slow.

Deer and brown bear are plentiful in the area. High mountain deer hunting possible August through about mid-September. Because of steep, rugged terrain and remote area, caution is advised for alpine expeditions
