Description: 16’X18’ yellow cedar/Sitka spruce.  Original cabin design by Wood Cuts, Inc. of Thorne Bay, AK.  Cabin constructed on site by SAGA volunteer crew 2010.

On salt water at Moira Sound, 30 air miles (48 km) from Ketchikan, 51 miles (82 km) from Craig

Access: Float plane (at high tide, see Ketchikan tide tables) or boat 
Terrain: Flat with coastal Sitka spruce, western hemlock forest. Up to 100' (30 m) of exposed rocks, tide flats in front of cabin at low tide.

Water available from Kegan Creek. Treat all water before using. Cabin condition report
What to bring: Sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage bags, and fire starter. It's a good idea to bring your own water.
More information: Mooring buoy in bay available on a first-come, first-served basis. Mooring of more than one vessel allowed, if first party there agrees.
Special features: Cabin in protected cove in Moira Sound. Ocean fishing, stream fishing, viewing scenery and wildlife, beachcombing. Salmon runs draw anglers, black bear to Kegan Creek. ½-mile trail along the creek connects Kegan Cove to cabin on Kegan Creek and to Kegan Lake. Watch fish or try to catch salmon, steelhead, trout from trail. Bears, eagles, gulls and a variety of other birds frequent area.
