Water is available from a creek 100 feet south of the cabin.
Treat all water before using. |
| What to bring: |
#1 diesel fuel, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking
stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet
paper, garbage bags, fire extinguisher, fire starter and
rubber boots. It's a good idea to bring your own water. |

Excellent halibut fishing in mouth of Portage Bay. Coho
and , pink salmon, steelhead, trout fishing in Portage Creek.
Black bear, waterfowl, grouse hunting. Primitive 10½
mile (17 km) Portage
Mountain Trail connects cabin, Petersburg
Lake cabin and Salt Chuck East
cabin, though Goose Cove south of bay. |
