Terrain: Grove of old-growth timber, overlooking broad, U-shaped bight, gently sloping gravel beach
Facilities:
  • No amenities
Water available from small creek 30 yards east of shelter. Treat all water before using.
What to bring: Fire starter, fire extinguisher, shovel, garbage bags, toilet paper. It's a good idea to bring your own water. For overnight stays: sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils and food.
More information: Fires can be built in fire grate in front of shelter or on beach below high tide line using dead and down wood only. There is no outhouse; dig "cat holes" 6"-8" deep, at least 200' from any fresh water source. Bury or pack out all toilet paper.
Special features: Excellent hiking and fishing.

Nicely located for visits to Tebenkof Bay.
