Access: 39 air miles (63 km) from Petersburg or 13 water miles (21 km) from Kake. Requires 18' tide or 2-mile (3 km) walk over mud flat.
Terrain: Grassy tidal flat and low elevation old growth forest

  • Wooden table and benches
  • Oil heater (#1 heating oil only)
  • Wood stove
  • Pit-type outhouse
Water is available from the nearby creek. Treat all water before using.
What to bring: #1 diesel fuel, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage bags, fire extinguisher and fire starter. Firewood generally provided, but not guaranteed. It's a good idea to bring your own water.
More information: This type of stove (Perfection oil heater model H940) is used for heating purposes only and burns #1 heating oil. It has a brown enamel finish and a slightly domed top
Special features: Spectacular scenery. Bear, waterfowl hunting. Steelhead, coho and pink salmon, dolly varden and cutthroat trout fishing in Kadake Creek.
