float plane (18 miles, 29 km) from Petersburg.

| What to bring: |
Sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern,
pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage
bags, fire extinguisher, fire starter, personal flotation
devices and rubber boots. It's a good idea to bring your
own water. |

Best boat mooring 50 yards south of red and white diamond
trailhead marker. Boats will go dry at low tide unless anchored
in this hole. |
| Special features: |
Deer, moose, seasonal populations of ducks, loons. Cutthroat
trout in the lake, coho near the mouth of Harvey Creek.
Woewodski Island has a long history of mining, with remnants
of mines and current exploratory activities in the area.
Cabin reached by Harvey Lake Trail beginning at saltwater
and gradually climbing uphill paralleling Harvey Creek.
Easy, pleasant walk. |
