Access: 15 miles (24 km) by plane or 25 miles (40 km) by boat from Petersburg
Terrain: Cabin on small spit of land with gravel beach in front. Cabin surrounded by combination of forest and grass flats.

  • Oil stove (#1 diesel only)

  • Wooden counter
  • Wood shed
  • Pit-type outhouse
Water is available from a small stream ¼ mile south of the cabin. Treat all water before using.
What to bring: #1 diesel fuel, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage bags, fire extinguisher and fire starter. It's a good idea to bring your own water.
More information: Breiland Slough accessible at any tide; makes good group tent camping site. Good base camp for exploring Castle Islands. Nearest island site of old barite mine.
Special features: Dungeness crab, shrimp, coho salmon fishing. Waterfowl, grouse, black bear hunting. Beach walking and berry picking.
