| Access: |
By boat or float plane from Petersburg or Wrangell at
any tide. Boat route from Petersburg over protected water
but includes one passage where attention to channel markers
is essential. Route from Wrangell crosses Sumner Strait,
which can be very rough in windy weather. Boat anchorage
anywhere in front of cabin.

Water is available from a small creek 100 yards east of
cabin. Treat all water before using.

| What to bring: |
Sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern,
pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage
bags, fire extinguisher and fire starter. It's a good idea
to bring your own water. |

Assortment of wildlife viewing opportunities: martens,
eagles, herons, deer and sea mammals. 200 yards (185 m)
behind the water source is an active beaver pond.
Waterfowl hunting fairly good in Duncan Canal, also salmon
and halibut fishing.
Woewodski Island had extensive mining in the 30's, but
only small amounts of gold were found before the vein
was lost. Current mining claims and possible activity
nearby on the island.
