| Access: |
Float plane or by trail from saltwater (skiff provided
at end of trail; please return it to the trail after use). Access
by boat involves a 2.5 mile (4 km) hike from salt water
plus a 2.25 mile (3.6 km) row to the cabin.

| What to bring: |
Personal flotation devices, sleeping bags, sleeping pads,
cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food,
toilet paper, garbage bags, fire extinguisher and fire starter.
It's a good idea to bring your own water. |

Please conserve firewood; supplied firewood is for wood
stove use only.
Mooring buoy is provided at salt water trailhead on a
first come first serve basis.
Cabin is within the Misty Fiords National Monument Wilderness.
Please Leave No Trace
of your visit.

Cutthroat trout and kokanee(fresh-water salmon) fishing.
Sitka blacktail deer, mountain goat, black bear, and
brown bear hunting.
Boating to end of the lake takes you to historic Winstanley
Lake Shelter built by the CCC back in the early 1930s.
From the shelter there is a 2.25 mi (3.6 km) hike down
to salt water. |
