Description: Rustic style 12' x 14' Pan-Abode log cabin built in 1973 and moved to its current location in 1985.
Location: 15 air miles (24 km) and 25 water miles (40 km) from Ketchikan, on the south shore of Phocena Bay.

Terrain: Fairly flat terrain with very large tide flat in front of the cabin at low tide

Treat all water before using.
What to bring: Sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage bags, fire extinguisher and fire starter. It's a good idea to bring your own water.
More information: Please conserve firewood; supplied firewood is for wood stove use only. Collect your own beach/driftwood for campfires.

Cabin reservation does not give exclusive use of the buoy. Buoy is on a first-come, first-serve basis; more than one vessel is allowed if first party there agrees.

Special features: Spectacular view of Chapin Peak and the Puppet Mountains from cabin deck. Relatively easy hiking in the area to explore nearby tide pools and forest. Ling cod, red snapper, halibut, and salmon outside the bay. Humpback and killer whales in Clarence Strait.
