Typical Cabin Layouts

These are typical layouts for cabins of each type. Individual cabins may differ somewhat from them.

A-Frame cabins typically have a counter and wooden beds against the sloped walls. A ladder against the back wall leads to a wooden-floored loft which can also be used for sleeping space. Cabins also contain a stove for heat and a wooden table and benches. A number of A-Frames have been modified by extending all or part of one sloped wall out to vertical, providing more room in the cabin (see below).

Hunter-style cabins typically have a counter against one wall and one or more sets of wooden bunk beds, as well as a wooden table and benches. Cabins also contain a stove for heat. Pan-abode cabins are similar to hunter-style and have much the same layout (below).
