Admiralty Island Cabins
Pybus Bay Cabin Description: This is a large A-frame cabin with a loft and an oil stove for heat. It has sleeping space for up to 7 people.
Location: The cabin is about ½ mile (1 km) north of Donkey Bay in a protected cove within Pybus Bay on southeast Admiralty Island. Longitude: -134.1588889; Latitude: 57.35
Access: Access is by float plane or boat. It is about a 1¼-hour flight from Juneau or 30 minutes from Petersburg. Occasionally poor weather can result in extended stays, and cabin users should be prepared for this. High tides are recommended to reach the cabin. There is no mooring facility.
Terrain: The cabin sits back 50 yards (46 m) up a hill from the beach.

- 4 single wooden bunks
- Sleeping loft
- Oil stove (uses #1 stove oil, NOT provided)
- Table and benches
- Cooking counter
- Broom
- Outhouse
Water is available from a nearby stream. Treat all water before using. Bring your own #1 stove oil, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage bags, fire extinguisher, and fire starter. Please follow the oil stove directions carefully.
Special Features: You are in brown bear country. A game trail to Donkey Bay is accessible at high tide. There is a lot of seasonal commercial fishing activity in Pybus Bay. The end of the bay has large tide flats. This is a popular cabin for hunting.
Rental Fee: $35 per night.
