In Alaska, State & Private Forestry (SPF) is responsible for providing

forestry-related assistance to the State and local governments, forest

industries, other Forest Service branches, other federal agencies, and

non-industrial private forest landowners. State & Private Forestry also

promotes sustainability for rural communities. This is accomplished

through a variety of programs that provide technical assistance,

cooperative agreements, and grant funding.
