Viewing Information: Visiting this freshwater marsh is a wildlife watcher's dream. A few common birds which may be viewed include a variety of dabbling ducks, Canada geese, shorebirds, hawks, and songbirds. Wildlife viewing does not end with birds. Sitka black-tailed deer, beaver, and river otters are also common in the area. Even an occasional visit from a brown bear can be expected. Safety First: Keep your eyes open for brown bears as they are in the area. Please read the "bear sense" web page for information on how to behave in bear country.
