Vigilante Campground
How to get there: Located approximately 24 miles northeast of Helena in the Big Belt Mountains. Follow Highway 280 east of Helena about 16 miles to the small community of York. Proceed northeast along Trout Creek another 8 miles to the end of the road and the campground.
Attractions: Adjacent to Trout Creek.
This pack-it-in/pack-it-out site features picnic tables, toilets, and trailheads for the 12-mile (round-trip) Hanging Valley National Recreation Trail #247 and the Trout Creek Canyon Trail #270 that is handicapped accessible for the first mile.  Brochures for the Trout Creek Canyon Trail are available at the trailhead and at the Helena Ranger District.
Fee: $5.00/night camping fee
Elevation: 4400 feet
Availability: Memorial Day - September
Facilities: 18 sites with tables
