Description:
Abstract:
This dataset represents oil and gas potential in Region One National Forest lands. The data was assembled by 1:100k quadrangles that were individually digitized from original mylar sheets obtained from the Bureau of Land Management. The potential is determined on a section by section basis (Township and Range system). Potential was determined based on local structural and stratigraphic relationships.
Purpose:
To be used for reference to oil and gas potential in subsurface rock units.
Supplemental_Information:
Some but not all scanned images and brief write ups of original 1:100k quadrangle mylars are located in forest service files. K:\lmwrhp\minerals\2820_leasable\maps\potential_quads_O_G K:\lmwrhp\minerals\2820_leasable\maps\potential_write_ups All other maps and write ups can be found at the BLM office in Billings, MT.
