Abstract:

A compressed .tiff file made from updated cff data in the Intergraph map publisher process, clipped, subset and rectified as .img visitor map. The file represents the current west half Forest Visitor Map published in 2006.

The 2006 published Helena Forest Visitor map image is primarily used as a background for other map products. This forest visitor map contains the 2006 forest travelroute restrictions on it. The visitor map does not contain all roads or trails on the forest or surrounding lands. The visitor map route restrictions only apply to lands managed by the Helena National Forest and do not apply to any other lands within the map. Travelroutes with purple highlighting are closed yearlong to motorize use and travelroutes with orange highlighting contain restrictions on the type motor vehicle use allowed or seasonal use restrictions or both. Please see the published Helena NF visitor map for a complete list of the restriction codes.
