FOREST DEVELOPMENT ROADS

Dakota Prairie National Grasslands

Medora and McKenzie Ranger Districts

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50 (b), the following act is prohibited on all Forest Development Roads in the Medora and McKenzie Ranger Districts, Dakota Prairie National Grasslands.

1. Using a road for commercial hauling without a permit or written authorization. (36 CFR 261.54 (c))

Service companies are considered covered by the permit issued to the leaseholder.

This restriction does not affect rights of routine ingress and egress, including transporting livestock and equipment to private property within the area.

These restrictions are in addition to the general prohibitions in 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A.

Violation of this prohibition or the conditions of any permit issued there under is punishable by a fine of $5000.00 for an individual, $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than 6 months, or both. (16 USC 551 and 18 USC 3559 and 3571)
