Recreation Facility Analysis

Recreation Facility Analysis

The Recreation Facilities Analysis is a process being used nationally to help national forests and grasslands align their developed recreation sites with visitors' desires and use. The goals of this analysis are: to optimize public enjoyment of developed recreation sites and services today and into the future; improve customer satisfaction; provide recreation opportunities at fgacilities or sites consistent with the Grassland's recreation 'niche'; operate and matntain financially sustainable recreation facilities to accepted quality standards that provide enjoyable, safe experiences for visitors at an affordable cost; to eliminate maintenance backlog at recreation sites.

The Dakota Prairie Grasslands jas completed, for public review and comment, a draft Recreation Facility Analysis of its 27 developed recreation sites, including campgrounds, trailheads, and interpretive sites. We are interested in your review and comments.

This Recreation Facility Analysis needs public review and comment.
