EDUCATION GUIDE:
This Education Resource Teachers Guide is designed for use by teachers and other educators who are teaching Nez Perce Trail history. The documents listed below can be used in conjunction with the 20-minute video, "Nez Perce (Nee-Me-Poo) National Historic Trail Landscape of History."

- Nez Perce (Nee-Me-Poo) National Historic Trail brochure This brochure includes photographs, a map, and agency contact information.
Auto Tour Brochures - These are four full colored brochures describing the Nez Perce Trail from Orofino, Idaho to Lolo, Montana, through the Bitterroot Valley, through the Big Hole, Horse Prairie, and Lemhi Valleys in 1877, and from Leadore, Idaho to West Yellowstone, Montana.
Nez Perce National Park brochure - This brochure from the National Park Service contains information about the park, historical photographs, and maps. Though not available online, the brochure is available at the offices of agencies participating in the management of the Trail.
The exercises below are broken out into subject areas identified as Language Arts, Science, Cultural Resources, Social Studies, Visual Arts, Math, and Life Skills. Each exercise covers elementary school (4th-6th grade), middle school (5th-8th) or high school (9th-12th) activities.

A code appears on each activity page to assist the educator in addressing age appropriateness and subject matter.
