Significant exchange adjustments occurred in the Beaver Block, Upper North Fork country of the North Fork Ranger District, and the Palouse R.D. This cover has never been completely validated by the forest as to its alignment with the forest plan hard copy map. That need has been identified and depends on funds and other priorities. Changes are needed to bring this coverage into alignment with the current land ownership for the forest and vertical alignment with other exisitng features. This coverage was originaly prepared at the Regional Office, Missoula, Montana. It is believed to have been digitized directly from a copy of the 1987 forest plan map at the mapscale of 1:126720. Date unknown. It was modified using available land ownership information and best estimates for managment coding in area no longer under private ownership. The contiguous block - eastside - does not align well vertically with the forest 1:24k ownership coverage. The west half of intermixed ownership is derived directly from the current land ownership coverage.
